Who is contended in life?

Info

Atul's Snack Bar, Udyog Vihar, Gurgaon. Friday 18.50 Hours

Cheers.... Cheers Yaar (Friend) Atul you never let me bring scotch bottle. Every time you make me drink your scotch.

Dear Ajay it is not the money which matters, it is the company which matters. We mostly sit on Fridays i.e hardly once a week. It is my pleasure to be with you. Ultimately you find time to come to my restaurant so its my privilege to be host to my long time school friend.

Atul you know I can't even invite you to my home due to my dictator rigid nagging wife. She does not even allow me to drink at home.

Ajay bhai frankly speaking I drink daily at home and I am lucky that my wife does not mind it and rather feel happy that I am with the family enjoying drinks with family gossips. She even loves to make snacks for my drinks.

Atul you are lucky boss.

Ajay Bhabhi (friend's/brother wife) is right in one way, she gives full time to family and your children even after her tiresome job in the bank.

Ajay: There is no shame in accepting the fact also, I can't even afford to drink scotch daily.

Atul: Don't make fun of me yaar you and your wife both are in job and earning good amounts of money.

Ajay: So what nothing is left for personal pleasure boss. Our both's net commutative home salaries are around 1.40 Lakhs per month. Out of that we have to pay EMIs for car and home loan. The major expenses are the children education. By hook or by crook we were managing our son's engineering studies but now this year daughter is planning for admission in Medicals. Only GOD knows how would we manage.

Atul: Don't be so negative boss, Children bring their own luck. I am always there with you for any funds requirement.

Ajay: Don't embarrass me more my dear friend. I could not still not clear your last loan.

Atul: Let us change topic yaar, we meet here to relax and have fun and not to be tense.

Ajay: Tell me do you still remember our village school and the girl on whom you were really in love.

Atul: Yeah I do remember Anita, she might be the infatuation not the love. We all were so young at that age to understand all that meaning of love

Ajay: Are you joking you still remember her name so well but still say it was not love.

Atul: That age was magnificent yaar, any one could love anyone in his dreams. To be truthful my first wet dream was with her only.

Ajay: You were lucky yaar. Some people like me even could not love the girl even in dreams. Before the climax mine girl either disappeared or I got awake before that. It was all KLPD dreams yaar.

Atul: I still have dreams with that Anita.

Ajay: Tell me clearly did you ever actually slept with her.

Atul: Never but I did get chances of hugging and kissing. Now I feel she was also interested but I could not dare to ask for that Thing.

Ajay: Have you seen latest Bollywood movie 'Anaarkali from Aarah' ?

Atul: Not yet, how this film is connected with our school days memories or my Anita.

Ajay: It is story of a Dancer Anaarkali from Bihar. It is well made movie and looks so real. The heroine looks like your teenage love Anita only.

Atul: You mean to say dancer of like Meena Theatre of our times in village.

Ajay: Yeah you are right. It is a bold film with double meaning Hindi songs.

Atul: You mean songs and film are vulgar, should I not go with my wife?

Ajay: No no not so, It's song lyrics are that of SHRINGAR RAS.

The discussion of erotic heroine, film, double meaning songs (SHRINGAR RAS) old love hiccups mixed with scotch  gives a real high to both friends. Specially Ajay is on real high now.

Ajay: I feel sad about you my dearest friend you could not get admission in engineering college like me in Patna.

Atul: You are mistaken dear. Who does not know getting admission in Bihar is not a big deal? Actually I did not want to study the subject which I don't like. You see the period of five years you spent in engineering college, I enjoyed the time in my village with grand parents and parents. I completed my graduation too.

Ajay, who is still high on Atul's drinks tries to bring out his Wit out, as well said by someone "When The Wine Is In Wit Is Out' :

You see what the education has given me, I am a production manager in a limited company earning 90,000/- Rupees per month. Whereas you are a simple graduate without any impressive designation.

Atul: I am proud of you my dear friend that you are a production manager and I am simply an owner of Atul's Snack Bar. We both left our village together to fulfill our dreams in so called millennium city Gurgaon.

Ajay: You see when we both came to Gurgaon twenty two years back. I joined as supervisor with salary of mere 3500/- per month and now my earning is 90,000/- per month.

Atul: At that time when you joined this service I started selling Tea on bicycle opposite your factory hardly earning 70 to 80 rupees per day but I was happy. I still remember you were even ashamed to introduce me to your colleagues, myself being a chaiwala (Tea Seller). After seven years when I started earning well I brought my parents to Gurgaon after my grand parents death. Your parents are still living in misery in village. By the grace of GOD, now my monthly income is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per month which is more than sufficient to live a respectable life.

Ajay: My wife is an post graduate bank employee earning 50,000/- per month.

Atul: I am more than happy with my inter pass villager house wife. Who loves my habits weather good or bad, has taken care of our children well and is not at all a nagging wife. She even finds time to meet her so called high society women in her kitty parties. As per me she is more honest, sincere and intelligent then most of post graduates with fake smiles.

Ajay: What care of children you are talking about. Your son is studying only in Bachelor of Commerce. My son is doing engineering.

Atul: My dear friend what would your son do after engineering? Will he be able to get any benefits of your 22 years career of engineering and job. I don't think so you can even guarantee him a job. Your so called hard work of 22 years won't be able to give him any help in building his career. My son is doing commerce to understand business. His career is already established. He would come and join my established business to reap the benefits of my 22 years labour. He may grow bigger if he has calibre but in all circumstances his life is secured.

Ajay after gulping full drink: My daughter would be doing medicals and see what is your daughter she got married during her graduation.

Atul fills Ajay's glass again: My daughter is happily married in business family and would be able to expand her own family in proper age. It is good to know your daughter completing medicals but you know with all capitation fee and other expenses it would cost you minimum 1.5 to 2 crores of rupees for her MBBS and five years of her life. Even after that she would have to go for Post Graduation which may cost another 2 crores with three years of life. By the time she would be out, in our society it would be difficult to find match for her anyways ultimately she would get married. You would be left with loads of loan amount to be cleared by you and your wife. My dear friend it is not so that I don't love your daughter, she is like my own but do visualize the realities of life.

Ajay bottoms up his drink and takes the leave of Atul, without uttering a single word.

While driving back to home still thinking deeply:

Who is more satisfied with his job, He or Atul?

Holding a designation with loans on back is more important or living a tension free life is more important?

His son would be a strength to him and his wife in older days with his unpredictable career or Atul's son to his parents.

During last twenty two years who was helping whom?

Who is more contended in life, he or Atul?

Whose family is more secured his or Atul's?

A post graduate serving nagging wife is better or a simple living house wife is better?

Just think.......................
