Julian Hall About Succeeding As An Entrepreneur

Julian Hall is a reputable entrepreneur with years of experience under his belt. He is a true expert at his job, having started businesses like Startup Dash, Ultra Education, and #AskUltra. He has spoken at many keynote events and he has been a strong proponent of entrepreneurship. But, he claims, there are many things to learn as an entrepreneur. In the following paragraphs, he gives tips on how you can succeed as one.

- Establish a true training logic

Mental preparation is not magic or positivism. When preparing for a professional event (job interview, public speaking, etc.), take it as a real training in which you will have to invest yourself. It's not just a matter of reading a book on the subject and telling yourself that's enough. Not at all, it requires motivation and investment.

"Your mental training must be regular, because it is in the regularity that you will strengthen your qualities and that you will be able to put them to good use in a situation automatically, with ease and serenity. This will also make the difference,” says Julian Hall.

- Give yourself the right to succeed

It is not only the others who have the right to "perform", to achieve goals, to obtain a promotion, to ask for a raise from their manager.

"Stop thinking that you can't afford to be successful and dare to give yourself that right, even for a few moments. People who manage to speak in public when they were shy or anxious have, at one point, become given the right to do it and they 'launched'. They trusted each other and succeeded with their personality, their strength and their fragility. "

- Free yourself from the gaze of others

Do not stay with prejudices that stuck to your skin since your childhood (you were afraid to go to the board and express yourself in front of the whole class) and do not keep a bad image of yourself (such as thinking that your colleagues are better than you).

"These others who evaluate us, judge us, repeat to us that we should have done this or that, as well as the gaze of some who destabilize us, prevent us from giving the best of ourselves and put us in doubt. It is this doubt which is our worst enemy. We must try to get out of the 'diktat' and the fear of others, and impose your style with tact and diplomacy. But I reassure you, and that is what is crazy, others have the same fears as you! You also have to realize that you cannot be 'loved' by everyone. The secret to freeing yourself from other people's gaze is to avoid constantly comparing yourself to them.”

"Do not hesitate to break your isolation, to meet people, to surround yourself with people who can help you in your quest. Breaking your loneliness, learning from others, listening to their advice is essential."

- Give yourself time to succeed

We live in a society where we want everything, right away, if possible without making any effort. Fault! You have to give yourself the time to work, invest in yourself and take care of yourself. Knowing that the time it takes for everyone to reach their goals will be different from one person to another.

"Often the 'policy of small steps' is the best option for success, and all the more so in an anxiety-provoking situation. But since this pressure of time is present everywhere - in the schedules that we must respect, in the objectives that l 'we are given, within the response times that are imposed on us and in the tasks that we set ourselves each day - it is difficult for us to detach ourselves from it,” says Julian.
