It was an beautiful evening, the sun was drowning down the horizon, leaving it's clots behind in the stilly sky. The clouds were passing rather briskly as if trying to get hold of the returning birds. The green leaves started turning darker and cold breeze started blowing.
I was running in the garden like a careless child, smiling, enjoying the beauty of nature. I sat by the bench nearby to grasp some breath. It had been a weary week, perhaps a weary month or maybe months together. I had met weird people all these days, negative vibes were felt when I decided to cut off from people. I had to find happy, interesting and genuine faces, who are fun to be with, who understand well, who may have the same mindset as you.
But oh! This cruel world.
Thereby, I got hold of a known stranger and unknown friend. In high school, she was in some other class and we didn't really interact. Yet, there was a subtle in social media and it all started with liking each other's post. Well, after all these years, I decided to put on a message to her.
It all started fine, discussing about courses and colleges but it turned out to take us on a toll along the memory lane. How high school used to be, how not only me but she too finding weird faces all along, how farewell turned to something fun by one of our fellow classmates, the expressions of our teachers, how we weren't allowed to carry phones, how we didn't have enough pictures.
She didn't talked directly, yet said everything. I kept talking about myself and all she did was noticed. A name to her was given which she coined as a ritual and I talked of being so smart. Then she started speaking about her.
The conversation had sarcasm, jokes and the laughing emoji in almost every lines. Attention of as a hobby seemed the most interesting and misunderstood topic.
There was fun and it seemed that even zombies will awake. Before buzzing onto sleep, we left certain mysteries. Her FBI mode was worn off and we bid a good night.
It was so funny that we talked for the first time even after being in the same school. Maybe it's a bit saddening too.
But it's never late.
This is how I met a known stranger and be friends with her. After a long time, I had a really interesting and fun conversation.
