There is something that life does hold-

That makes one brave, and boils his blood.....

The "Hero's call"...The realist fails to halt-

The illusion making rhubarb out of men.


The heroic fields and foolish  deeds....

But is it worth it all?

The Bubble Glory that we seek,

The Romantic fame- is that all it is?


The skeletons that lie in pursuit of fame,

The shattered hopes, the dead thoughts-

At the end of the journey, won or lost,

The person wonders, " Is life worth it all?"

Well, the attempt was good. And I like the references from other poems. Especially the "Bubble Glory". But I'm sure you can write better. The idea was good, but cliche. So, elaborating your point of view would've helped. P.S. For a first attempt, you deserve a round of applause. I hope I'll be able to nominate your next poem. :D
