Like a West Wind

She walked into my life, like a west wind

Took away all my sorrow and gave me a new beginning.

Her presence shook me to the core,

Because she made me find myself even more.

She taught me lessons which I will cherish,

till the time my life would perish.

The time came when she had to bid farewell,

With a promise to come and meet me at the well,

Where we first met, when I was planning to jump,

Because I couldn’t bear the sight of my world getting into dump.

With a heavy heart I tried to hold on to her,

Knowing the fact that nothing could stop her.

She looked into my eyes, piercing through my heart,

And told me that, you are wind and that you cant stop.

For that is your destiny to move from one place to another,

In search of a soul who cant hold itself together.

And take away all its pain and misery within yourself,

So that they can return to their lost self.

As I let you go, because no one can hold a wind,

But with a promise that we vowed to abide till the end.

That this wont be our farewell and that,

She will come back to meet me near that well.
