Little Things

As life will stand across a sunset later,
I want to talk about things owned and lost
In those undulations which lost their counts,
As we were some machine made souls caring about notes

Life went far than we could realize
But isn't this the only motto that stays alive?
In those crosswords of life,
Where we tend to lose time like a bubble

On later days of this journey,
I want to sit and discuss everything that passed by,
Be it those melancholic sunsets, or those evening coffee musings
I want to get drunk on everything that passed by

While counting moments all this time,
We forgot about where happiness lies
Running after things that won't last long,
We forgot to treat ourselves well with smiles

Now when the sunsets shine,
We have a deep qualm on all those sights,
Was it this beautiful ever since so long?
Or did we miss out those pretty things for all this time?

Questioning ourselves leaves us with some repents
The way we ran after a rat race, but never found a way,
To get inebriated in such little things,
Life had in store all this time
