Love at first sight

Life is tough, often there are no clear cut answers and things are a blurry mess. Not always simple and endearing, but tragic and confusing and complex, with half-hearted gestures, mixed signals, and chaos reigning over genuine effort.

Gagan's eyes were as blue as the sky, and they reflected the unclouded vision which can make a woman's heart melt. He would reach out to her and they would spend seconds gazing into each other's eyes, blushing simultaneously, then walking away.

There would be moments of silence, and then moments of uninterrupted bliss, when his eyes would be like the cornfields of Wales and his smile like the phoenix rising from Egyptian flames. He was an enigma, but a beautiful one, and the thing which she realized about him was he was unaware of his own beauty. He lived in a reality where he didn't acknowledge his own worth.

He was tenderly devoted to her and yet, there were gaps. But he made magic seem mundane, and mundane seem magic. A special quality indeed!

He would remind one of fairy-lit coffee shops and espresso shots with a tinge of charisma and a hint of pure vulnerability. But he was realism encased in poetry and art with desire embedded in threads of design. He was ambitious yet principled, sweet yet bitter, tough yet so fragile, porcelain heart broken yet whole. A paradoxical creation, and one intented for Great Expectations.
