Love is a Losing Game(Chapter-2)

Chapter - 2

The Fear of Math

The second day in my school. A Sunny day in the month of  June. Just think how scorching the sun will be by mid day. So I thought of taking the umbrella to School and placed it in the side bag. My father always used to make me the breakfast eversince I was young. He used to wake me up at early in the morning. And gave me something to eat mostly milk and biscuits. I took the tiffin and ran for the class.

When I entered the class a guy was staring at me like he knew me. But I bet this time I don't know him. Not familiar at all.

"Hey! Good Morning, Come here" Ishita called me from the other end of the corridor.

I left my bag in the desk and went upto her. She was there with a girl short hair, not so tall, hazel eyes.

"Meet my best friend, Riya"

"Hi, Ishu told me about you"

"Nice to meet you"

"So you are new here"

"No actually I was born here and attended by school here upto second grade. Then I moved to Mumbai"

"That sounds cool"

Bell ringed  for assembly.

"Hey let's go, prayer time" Ishita said.

We ran to make a line. Before all the teachers came.

I almost forgot about that mystery guy. My eyes searched for him in the bunch of students. And the mystery remained a mystery.

The assembly ended as it ended like yesterday.

First Class : Mathematics

When I saw the new time table my heart skipped a beat. I've always hated the Math. It's not my cup of tea. Nope, not apart. I have tried everything to love this subject but I could not develop any interest.

Our school gives us choice between math/computer and biology/computer or both. At first I thought of taking the both. So I chose math/biology. In the introductory class I realised how bad I am in Math. I am too lazy to practice Math everyday.

Second Period: Chemistry

I never had a chemistry with any person nor with an atom. Though we get to know about atoms and electrons from 9th grade.

Third Period: Games

Yes!! This is the only period we students eagerly wait for.

Some kids were playing Tennis. I was too bored and I had not made friends to gossip. So Ishu, Riya and I went  to watch the game.

Two opponents standing against each other. One opponent was facing the back towards us. Six feet tall.

"I've seen him somewhere" I told ishu.

"Where"

Yes, I remember the assembly guy.

"No, nowhere he looked a bit familiar"

"Okay"

After that my day slipped away with the blink of an eye.
