The title explains all…
To begin with the story to tell, well it’s a simple story which many of us must have encountered in our life. It’s about a Mumbai girl Ashu, her love for her almost fiancé Akash and a twist in tale.
Let not any other girl go though this.
There was a girl, Ashu, tomboy at heart, sweet innocent sensitive from inside. However, on the outside she displayed herself as a tough girl, not caring about anyone. Giving a tough time to people around her. Well educated, settled with a dream job but not content in her heart.
Then comes the era, the “Job lag ke 2 saal hogaye ab Shaadi karlo” era! So just to kill time and shut people’s mouth, she creates her profile on matrimony site. Now the fun begins. She constantly declines all the invites giving various reasons. A few months pass by since she began this. Tired of declining the invites, on a lazy weekend she accepts one single invitation. A girl from Mumbai accepts the invite from a Delhi guy! Akash. They began chatting on social media. Then to cut-off, this guy she adopts the girly approach, “talk to my parents only then will I continue talking to you”. She thinks she nailed it and the guy will just stop texting. But it backfires her. He instead of talking to her mom directly asks his mom to call up her parents. Boom! This was unexpected for her. Then begins the story, the serious one. Mothers speak to each other about the family history and blah blah and they both approve the girl and the boy to continue talking to each other.
Time passes by. They chat, talk on calls, and even though he disappears sometime with no calls no texts for days. A month pass by like this and they still have not met even once. The only communication they have is through electronic communication. One thing that comes out through their talks is both are not ready to be settled soon and want to give it a time to know each other better before deciding anything. But again they haven’t met yet. To avoid the formal talks about marriage and start as friends he sketches out a plan to meet on a trip with parents. Finally after a month since they started talking they meet each other in presence of their parents and spends few days together, trying to know each other. Ashu falls for him. She falls madly in love with him after she meets him. Akash also indicates to her that he likes her.
Once when they return back to their respective places, Ashu’s parents asks her about to decide. Then begins the serious discussion but Akash just keeps on saying he needs time to answer to her. After a few days she realises there is something wrong as the guy just keeps on saying the same thing for few weeks. She is left with no choice but to give an ultimatum to him asking him for answer and he says YES! Again, the talks begins, late night calls, he sings for her on calls says I love you and makes her feel special!
But her happiness is not long lived. Suddenly one day she receives a text on the social media from his profile. Bang! It’s his girlfriend texting her from his profile. Apparently, Akash was committed for 2 years and Ashu was completely unaware of this. He never mentioned to her that he had any past commitments. Ashu is totally shocked after reading the messages! A girl, a tomboy who hardly trusted anyone trusted him but after reading the messages she just doesn’t understand how to react on this. She calls up Akash to just what is this all about. He explains Ashu that she is his ex and everything is over now. And that he only wants to marry her. Falling prey to his words and not knowing what exactly is happening she flys to Delhi. In the flight, Ashu thinks about going to extremes, either her relationship with Akash will be broken or it will get stronger. Ashu purposely calls the girl who texted from Akash’s profile as well on the airport so that all three of them will have face-to-face discussion. On airport, Akash completely shuns the girl by saying that he loves Ashu and that he is going to marry her. Now since he confided in her, Ashu’s feelings for Akash increases multiple folds. In her heart, she accepts him as her Husband. Ashu is on cloud nine when she spends time with Akash. Her love never diminishes. Day by day it just keeps on increasing. She wakes up to his thoughts and sleeps while listening to his snores on calls.
Everything goes fine. Ashu is having the time of her life. The person whom she loves is loving her back. After this incident, he never disappeared again. Even if she doesn’t call him he used to call her up to speak. She was so madly in love with him and she flew again to meet him saying she is going on solo trip. They go on a trip together, and her love for him increases day by day.
Firstly, Ashu felt only she is putting in efforts in the relationship but when Akash goes abroad for work he sincerely puts in efforts and makes her feels special. Inspite of the time difference, he puts an alarm to wake up in the middle of the night to speak to Ashu once she is back from office. A guy who loves sleeping sacrifices his sleep just to video call his girl. Ashu realising this gives in totally to him. He shares all his dreams and fantasies. He sketches out the plan for future with her. They discuss on how the life would be when they would be finally together.
Then to make things official, Ashu’s family visits his family. There is a huge melodrama and Ashu’s parents decide not to let her marry him. Akash then confides to his parents and her parents not to worry and that everything will be fine. On the next day, the families decides on dates for engagement and wedding. It is only a week since the dates are decided and suddenly Ashu receives a text from Akash “I don’t think we can be together. I cannot marry you”. Moreover, he switches off his phone for next 3 days. Unable to reach him on his number and not knowing what happened overnight, Ashu tries every possible way to talk to him. She tries every single route but in vain. Weeks pass by but no reply from him. Ashu is totally devastated in this time. Finally, with all the sadness, depression in her heart, she fly down to Delhi on his flat to meet him face to face. There realises that he is back with his girlfriend with whom he broke up infront of her few months ago. Not understanding what and why this happened to her, she slaps him in face and return back home. While flying back she makes herself strong enough to accept the fact that he cheated on her and they should not be together again. She makes her strong so that she can tell her parents truth about all of this. But when she reaches back to Mumbai, story changes. She receives text from Akash asking her to call her as soon as she reaches and he says its urgent. Thinking something happened to him and with still love for him in his heart she immediately calls him up. What she hears on call turns her world around. He tells her that he spoke to her mom and his mom and now things are settled and everything is fine. She speaks to his mom about whatever happened and with her mom and even she says that everything is fine. Not to worry. A day pass by but things font appear good and again he disappears Ashu is completely broken with the fact to accept that he is again with his girlfriend. She happens to speak with his girlfriend and she comes to know that all the time when she was ill, depressed and calling him to talk to him, he was staying with his girlfriend at his flat. She shifted in his house and they were living together.
Ashu and her parents went through hell as all the relatives knew about the dates and suddenly everything shattered off.
Its been months now and Ashu is still trying to move on. She never loved anyone and now that she loved Akash she is not able to get him off her mind. Even when she knows that he does not care about her and that he is happily living with his girlfriend, Ashu is happy only with the fact that she loved him tur heartedly.
People tell Ashu that he will come back some day. But she is so confident about him that he will never leave his girlfriend. She is his first and his childhood crush. And Ashu is nowhere for him.
Everyone says Ashu is immature and doesn’t understand life. They say love can happen twice. They might be correct. But for Ashu, she is correct on her part. Only she knows her loyalty, her pure hearted love for him. She knows that she can never love anyone else like she loved her almost fiancé Akash.
