Machismo vs. Virginity

I do not know if I am being ideal here or not but I've been offended on behalf of all my girl friends when this certain man, my friend, said he does not want to be in a relationship with a girl who already "lost her virginity". I asked him why but his defense seems to be baseless and irrational, I probe him by asking about if he for Pete's sake if he, the one who does not want to have a "devirginized" girlfriend, is STILL A VIRGIN; and the answer is a BIG NO. Why, for all of the people, will you ask something in woman what you cannot also give? He even further said that even he truly loves the woman if he knew his girlfriend is "not pure" he would not have a second thought to break their relationship.

I think this would be unfair for all the woman who he fuck, also to the woman who have sex with the same IRRATIONAL BELIEF SYSTEM person. What if the woman wants to self-preserve herself for the man she truly loves but give in to the pressure of having sex to "PROVE" her love to this kind of people? Machismo as its finest.

What if women, also has this kind of thinking? Would there be enough love, or is it just game of lust? Would men chew their pride and stop being an asshole?

Does SEX or VIRGINITY will determine how strong their relationship could be? If I am a woman,  I would doubt the intentions of a man who has this same way of thinking, I believe that MATURITY and RESPECT is very essential in building good relationship, and with this kind of level of thinking I would not really at all entertain the thought of having a romantic relationship. No maturity, no respect.

Accept what has been in the past and do not be hindered or have unsound judgment because of some circumstances you can not change. My point is we're all no better than anyone.
