It started on August
A feast in an evening
Saw you in a corner, drinking
It was your eyes
I looked at them
And I was mesmerized
Never have I ever
Had a casual interaction
Turned me from stranger to lover
And with your every touch
My cheeks turned
From beige to peach
***
Then after a year, on August
Never thought this was you before
Turned you from lover to stranger
Because with your every touch
My cheeks turned
From peach to purple
It was in your eyes
I saw myself
Hopeless and terrified
And in a bloody evening
Enough with your beating, I drink
Martini, is for a bitch like me
