My Broken Heart

I have been through a lot all my life,
My smiling face hides so many plights.

I have been fooled for being so kind,
I looked for honesty but couldn't ever find. 

I have been criticised for no goodness,
My silence is always mistaken for rudeness.

I don't believe if anyone cares for me,
If someone wants to know what I'm reading or what's my favorite flavor of tea.

I don't attach myself with anyone anymore,
I dream of spending rest of my life in solitude at some seashore.

I long for solitude, I don't find it pity,
I believe my happiness is only my duty.

But, if you say you wanna shower me with all your love,
Before you do this, I want you to mark my words.

I deftly carry a heart in pieces, where every piece has suffered a lot of pain,
If you say you will mend all pieces of my heart, please don't mend them just to break my Heart again.
