My own people couldn't see the tears in my eyes.

There are tears behind my smile,
The reasons are the people, I used to call mine.

I am crying myself to sleep since the last few nights,
Though, those nights taught me the harshest truth of life.

My parents find it normal, they say that's the reality of this world,
It takes me time to understand all this because I  carry an extremely soft heart.

My heart's in pieces, and every piece aches so much,
I have no one to say this to so I write it in my verse.

The one I always treated as mother, and the other one as father,
Misunderstood my every word and called me a betrayer.

So, after all that happened in my life,
I would give everyone a life advice.

Do not love people too much,
They all will leave.

Do not pour your heart into people,
They will break it into pieces.

Do not put you happiness into others,
They will make you cry rivers and oceans.

The only handful of people belonged to me,
Have left me for reasons, I couldn't ever foresee.

And, now I am scared, I am scared to call anyone mine,
I have no energy to suffer anymore, I am done with all these plights.

So from now on I am leaving everyone behind,
To heal my shattered heart and to bring peace in my chaotic mind.

P:S I wish I was told these things before, that the world doesn't see the purity of heart but believes in what other say. That when you will be too much available for people, they will try to find your selfishness behind that.
