Let me walk through the Himalayas
And see the cold tipped peaks of heaven.
I want to wonder at the sparkle of the sea,
Off the coast of Greece.
Olive groves of Italy, Lavender fields of France.
I want to explore the Forbidden Kingdom
And see Emerald trees and fog so thick,
It's pressing on my skin.
I want to watch the sun set in the west
As it kisses the world goodbye.
I want to turn and see the moon rise.
As it wakes from its rest.
And when I close my eyes,
I will know, at what God saw,
With his own eyes.
To see the dreaming, hazing tropics of the jungle.
The henna painted hands of princesses
Dancing to the sounds of drums.
I can't imagine the sights,
A feast I will see.
The Geisha's of the setting,
Walking gracefully.
Monasteries full of echoes,
Monks swinging chains of incense.
Endless chanting reverberating through me.
Let me see.
So I can marvel at this world
Made only from free will.
The spicy smell of curry.
Rose I press to my face with citrus close behind.
I close my eyes and breathe.
And it pulls me in, warm and free.
I feel the security in having arms wrapped around me,
Forever keeping me safe.
Of touching another person!
I want to hear the chatter of different languages.
Background noise to me.
The sound of twinkling keys,
being stroked softly in the distance.
My shoes on cobblestone as I wander through this world.
The sound of sizzling as I pass by airing cravats.
Where street vendors put their skills to the test.
Let me hear the caws and chirps of birds in the air.
The ocean crashing, moving to the shore.
The wind howls at me, before gently whispering,
"Welcome home."
So if I can't hear your sweet sound again,
Then let me see your sense of grace.
Let me see watch the sun set once more
And I swear my sound won’t go.
So if I never hear your musky voice,
Then turn to me right now and say,
"I love you, don't forget."
