After the experiences made in other countries of the world, it is now the turn of France to see the prices of Netflix subscriptions increase from June 20. Indeed, the streaming platform has decided to increase its prices in our country, for the second time since its arrival in 2015 (a touch-up had already been carried out in 2017). Nothing will change for the basic access pack, the one without high definition and on a single device, which will remain unchanged at the price of 7.99 euros per month.

For those who want to enjoy HD viewing on two devices, the price of the Standard subscription will drop from 10.99 euros to 11.99 euros, while those who choose Ultra HD on four devices will see the price change from 13.99 euros to 15.99 euros. In the past, the streaming service has also suspended the option of a free one-month trial, which was once a standard for accessing this type of offer: instead, a free viewing period of just 14 days has now been reintroduced. The price increase will be automatic for new subscribers, while existing subscribers will be notified one month in advance.
This change is significant in an increasingly changing context in the field of television offer: next year, two important competitors arrive, such as Disney + and Apple Tv +, while Netflix continues to significantly increase its investments in original content (around $ 15 billion planned for 2019 alone).
