And then there you are, knocking on my door, wanting to be a part of my life again.
And there I am, patiently waiting; ready to welcome you with open arms; with arms wide open,
but with a heart that doubts.
No more complete and full trust;
"Knock, knock," you approached my door warily.
"Thump, thump," my heart went into overdrive.
"Wait, wait," warned my mind.
And as I opened the door,
and as you enveloped me in your gentle arms,
and as I breathed you in,
all the walls came crashing down,
along with the tears that were saved for a long time in waiting,
Yet, with a smile,
I whispered, "Now what?"
