I would hug you if I could, hold you close, your shoulder blades jutting out, sharp and fragile, like the hollow skeleton of a bird, like wings, like wounds, like sorrow. The way your shoulders hunch and your chest caves in on itself is a symphony,a wordless poetry of hurt and pain, one I cannot help reading and reciting along to.
Your hand over your throat as if to shield it from harm or conceal a vulnerability from sight, but it just makes my eyes linger in a way that I'm sure alarms you.
Your pulse beats in quick little flutters, like a flighty bird,in fact everything about you is bird-like and delicate and so so fragile. One wrong move and I'd break your wings. One wrong move, and I'd cage you for life.
