Proton Satria Neo R3 Lotus Racing Edition

This Lotus Racing version of the Proton hot hatch weighs 1,150 kg, which is 62 kg lighter than the Satria Neo CPS.

In terms of power trends, the Proton R3 can be adjusted to a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated CamPro CPS engine. It is driven to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox, which produces 147 PS at 7,000 rpm and 168 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm.

In addition to Proton Saga, Proton Satria is also a symbol of the Proton brand. It existed between 1994 and 2015.

In the heyday of Proton R3 (Race, Rally, Research), they developed a limited number of complete models.

The last vehicle developed from R3 is the Proton Satria Neo R3 Lotus Racing Edition. Only 25 units were produced and the price was relatively stable: RM 115,000. For your reference, the Honda Civic 1.8 had the same price at the time.

Although its cost is twice that of the Satria Neo CPS, it does not prevent fans from getting the latest version of the hot hatch from this Proton R3.

In appearance, Satria Neo R3 Lotus Racing Edition has Lotus Racing Green to celebrate Proton's participation in Formula One at that time. The touch of the Quran strip further complements the look of this special Satria Neo.

In addition, it also has 16-inch Advanti wheels, the size is 205/45 R16, R3 bumper uses a more aggressive design, and the front fender uses fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) material.

On the side of the cabin, it has a Nappa leather seat with Lotus Racing badge, green feel and R3 aluminum gear block.

This car is a glorious moment of cooperation between Proton and R3. Starting from this version, R3 is no longer in contact with the newer Proton models. Therefore, Proton Satria Neo R3 Lotus Racing Edition is still very special in Proton's history.
