What do you see when you envision what you think of as the "picture of the health"? Are you seeing someone sleeping in a bed, in their 80s, and unable to care for themselves? Do you also see that same 80-year-old living in their home and taking care of their yard? Some may believe that this is not possible but it's not. Actually, it is completely within your reach. Aging is a phase that everyone goes through but it doesn't need to be a negative thing. It can actually be very rewarding if you make it a point to take your fitness and health into control. click here
In the pursuit of optimal fitness and health, there are two major elements - your diet as well as your workout routine. Through the years, people were told that to be considered "fit" you needed to be active - and cardiovascular at all times of the day. But, for optimal fitness and health, it isn't the situation. For good health and fitness, you should have one thing in place - strong and healthy muscles.
It is a fact that many don't think about. It is unfortunate that we are taught to believe that fitness and health imply that you're slim and consume like birds. That's not to say that you have to build massive muscles, like the bodybuilder, but put that task to the pros. It's just that you exercise, tone, and develop the muscles your body is equipped with. Doing exercises 3-4 times per week for 30 minutes per session will make these muscles work to the limit; you will look great and without being bulky, so don't be worried.
This is the best part, muscles naturally burn fat as well. What this means is that, as you exercise and build your muscles throughout your life, you don't need to be concerned about the amount of fat because you'll already be working to eliminate it. This is a fantastic way to start being fit and healthy. However, you must remember to incorporate these changes into your routine; if would like them to be successful, they're not merely temporary.
Okay, now to nourish your muscles and body, and achieve optimal health and fitness, you should also consume an appropriate and balanced diet. That's right that you should stop cutting calories and ensure that you are eating enough food to provide your body with energy. A typical person should consume between 1500 and 1800 calories per day. (With an effective exercise routine, you will probably be in the upper portion of the range.) In time, you'll discover the best method for you, as everyone is a bit different.
However, to achieve real health and fitness, you must go back to the fundamentals that comprise the food pyramid. keep to the outer aisles of the supermarket such as vegetables, fruits, and lean meats, as well as dairy products with low-fat content, grains, and nuts. If you can fill up an 80percent of your daily diet with these food items, you'll become a model of fitness and health. Combining these two lifestyle changes will set you on the road to becoming that 80-year-old man doing your own yard work you'll be the older person that everyone else is admiring or hopes to be.
