We all have that one friend who is single, yet gives amazing relationship advice. He/she always knows what to do. How can such a person exist?
Well, I'm that friend. And let me tell you, relationships are overrated. For every picture perfect couple, there are five others suffering in silence. These are not the bitter ramblings of a frustrated Chump. I can count, on one hand, the number of people who have dated for more than a year.
Don't look for a relationship to add value to your life, your expectations will be too high. Instead, add value to yourself.
Think of it like a bank account, in a way. If you and your significant other each contribute 1 dollar a day, by the end of the month, you'll have 60 dollars in the account. Equal relationship.💕
But if you're the only one contributing, you'll have 30 dollars at the end of the month. If you’re sharing the account with the one, they have a right to take as much money from the account as they want even though it's your money. It’s one sided relationship. 💔
If you're single, only you can invest and withdraw from the account. Using the math above, in 30 days you'll have 30$. The difference is, it's 100% your money only. Even if you withdraw all of it. 😋
Therefore,
Equal relationship > being single > one sided relationship.
Know your worth! 😎
