Renowned Real Estate Investor Lloyd Segal Discusses Success When Transitioning to a Different Career

If you feel unfilled by your current career and need a change, chances are you might be considering the idea of moving towards a different career. But just the thought of it won't be enough for you to take the next step.

As tempting as it sounds, moving from one career to another is, in reality, a challenging task than what most people would imagine. It can be pretty daunting to take a step back from your current job and start working on a new career from scratch. To many people, the idea of leaving behind the security of their current job holds them back from moving forward with their passion.

Moreover, there are also those kinds of people who wish to pursue another one of their passions – but feel doubtful about not being able to find the same level of success as their current occupation. Although the fear is valid, you are simply holding yourself back from achieving the endless possibilities of new experiences that can come from career transitions.

To further prove our statement, let us look into the lives of people like Lloyd Segal, who took a leap of faith and moved from their careers towards their other areas of interest.

Real estate investor, mentor, author, and national public speaker Lloyd Segal is one of the few people who transitioned to a different career from their already thriving career. He began his career in 1977 as an attorney at Diamond, Tilem, Colden, Emery in Beverly Hills, California, where he specialized in entertainment law, placing most of his focus on recording artists and music performers. He managed the careers of various prestigious artists like John Stewart, Leda Grace, Levi and Rockets, Terry Reid, Nick Gilder, the Flying Burrito Brothers, and many more.

For his exceptional skills, he became the recipient of the Gold Record from eth Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) when Nick Gilder's single "Hot Child in the City" went #1 on the Billboard's Top 100 Hits and sold over a million records in the United States.

After pursuing many successful endeavors in his law career, he decided to place more focus on his other career interest, real estate. He joined with attorney Richard Sablowsky to form Segal & Sablowsky, where they handled many real estate high-profile Chapter 11 cases.

However, despite the success that came in his career, he had to go through losing his work partner, Richard Sablowsky, who had committed suicide. It was around this time Segal started writing a book dedicated to Sablowsky called "Stop Foreclosure Now in California; Save your home if you can – save your credit if you cant." Which helped distressed homeowners avoid losing their homes in foreclosures.

Surprisingly, it was through this book that he found himself to be in demand as a guest speaker traveling around the country where he spoke at number real estate groups, service organizations, and industry events throughout the United States.

He still continues to use his knowledge to mentor other investors about distressed homes and how to efficiently tackle foreclosure issues. Despite the change he went through in his career, he followed his heart and ended up finding more success in his choice of field – proving that all it takes is a bit of trust in yourself and a determination to back you up through the career change.
