Runaway Pt.5

I stopped at my apartment, and though Arigato didn’t say anything back to my comment, he didn’t resent it either. He also got out and followed me to my doorstep.

“Last chance to run away,” I said as I look at him. Funny to think we were just strangers last week.

He shook his head. “I think I had enough with runaways. I want to stay and think no more.”

I gave him a smirk, “Affirmative.”

I opened the door and he trailed behind me with the comfort silence that I came to like. I reach a hand behind and he grabbed it.

“In a way,” Arigato said as he squeezed my hand. “I’m glad my sister ran away.” I smiled. “If not for her, I might never have met you, Ken.”

I stopped and took out my key. I unlocked my door and said, “Very last chance.”

He smiled but just stare at me.

“Are you sure?” I asked.

His confused face was pretty cute too. “I thought I was wanted?”

“We just met last week,” I stated.

“Then you’re the first stranger I ever told so much,” he smiled. “I felt like I knew you for months.”

“That’s because we spent most days with each other,” I said.

“And I enjoyed every one of them.” He reached and grabbed my hand. “What? Don’t trust me now?”

“Should I?” I asked. “The cry baby and worrisome.”

“Gosh I showed you my weak side the first time we met,” he said. “I’m so uncool.”

I smiled. “You were actually annoying.” He raised one eyebrow in question. “But it was cute too, I admit.”

He smirked. “You stayed calm the whole time.”

“I had too,” I laughed. “If I’m not calm, you’ve lost your mind.”

We stood in that doorway for a little longer before he said, “I’m not running away.”

“I see that,” I said. Then I decided that it was too late to send him away now, so I opened my door and pulled him in. “Hope I don’t disappoint you when I’m not calm and mature anymore.”

“I was thinking about spoiling you,” he said.

“Looking forward to it.” I reached and turned the lights on. I grabbed my phone as Arigato looked around my apartment. I quickly send a text to all three forces about Namaste. Then threw my phone on the counter and went to Arigato as I hug him from behind. “Hey.”

“Hey,” he said. He turned to face me, it was tempting but I didn’t kiss him.

“So, Ari, what are you up to?” I asked.

He slightly blushed at the mention of his nickname. “Only Namaste calls me that.”

“Mind if I do?” I asked.

He smirked. “Only if you kiss me first.”

I unravel my arm and turned him to me. I didn’t even wait until he turned to face me completely, I lean in and kiss his lips. Fortunately I made a perfect target and actually got his lips and not just a corner of it. I felt him melt to the kiss and his arm reaching around to pulled me into a hug.

That was my quickest met and date ever, but surprisingly it lasted for quite a life time. Sometimes an odd person that you find annoying might turn into a life long lover. Thank you Namaste for running away. Thank you Arlington for homing Namaste and Arigato.
