Rundown of shotgun loads from strong to mild

Here's a rundown of shotgun loads from strong to mild

•10 gauge. Not for novices. Not for targets. Mainly used for hunting geese and turkeys.

The conventional"all rounder." Normally too thick and too much recoil for any beginners but massive boys and adults.

•16 gauge. The"sweet sixteen" is a conventional upland bird gun. Not for novices.

20 gauge. A fantastic choice for beginning adults and children over 100 pounds. Fairly versatile, reduced weight and recoil than the usual 20, a fantastic choice for kids and lots of ladies. Remington 1100 Ammo is expensive. They create fewer 28 gauge guns than the larger gauges and they tend to be more expensive. Cheapest recoil and generally lightest weight of all of the shotguns. Ammo is pricey.

They create fewer.410 gauge guns compared to bigger gauges and they are normally costly. A bad choice for beginners because it's so tough to reach anything with those small loads. For beginners, if cost isn't an object, get a 28. If your are economizing, 20's will be broadly available used, ammo is cheaper.

Which brandBudget.

Semiautomatics (As a result of our preference)

•Remington 1100/1187-Easy to wash -Easy to buy parts-Plentiful from the market-Older versions have a fixed choke (not ideal for novices )-They make a youth version with an adjustable stock

•Beretta 391-Many reliable of this semi autos-priciest -Relatively Hard to maintain-On a budget, consider the 390/303/302 older models-A used Beretta 391 is more than the Price of a new Remington 1100

•Benelli Legacy-A beautiful, mild gun-Expensive-Could have too much recoil for young shooters-Some claim not as dependable as Beretta'sMid priced. Over & Under shotguns (O/U's -In order of our preference)

•Beretta Silver Pigeon-Light and attractive-Reputable -Good for clays along with the field-Expensive

•Beretta 686-Heavier to carry compared to Silver Pigeon-Better for recoil when the weight is not too much-Less expensive-Reliable-More used instances -Older versions might have fixed chokes

•Browning Citori-Much like the 686-Can be heavy, especially in older versions -Older versions may have fixed chokes-Many versions can be expensive
