Our souls were bathed in cliches
We wore the same kind of drama everyday
We confuse ourselves with the original
When it was all about facade
We always say that were sad
When everybody shares the same pain
What are we trying to gain?
Sympathy?
Or a smile with fake honesty?
We usually hangout with a lot of people
But try counting them
Are most of them visible?
When you face dilemma
Do they make you a priority
Or just a damp cloth that is dirty?
We lock ourselves in a comfort zone
Did we ever try to choose bravery?
When we look up at the sky
Hail for you are above
Will that make us kneel?
Like you are the world's king
And you'd thought angels would sing
When you try to jump
And taking the universe alongside
Did you ever think about the rules you did abide?
Do you call that bravery?
Or stupidity?
We say we are cliche
But we do it everyday
Yesterday is nothing different from today
The world is dynamic
But we've been running circles in the ground
Without making a sound
We try to runaway
But we became popular
Our faces, plastered in the news
And somewhat we became happy
We did gain sympathy
They were all smiles
The moment they found us
Is that honesty?
We showed up
Is that bravery?
This time we are the priority
But tomorrow they forgot
And were runaways again on the dot.
The world is indeed dynamic,
My poem is running circles too
Change is up to you if only you stay true.
