Info

I woke your heart as the flowers starts blooming.

I stared at the pavement, watching the ice turn into water. There's still a hint of humidity in the air. So I kept my hands in my pockets. Maybe my hands slipped, because you saw my heart on my sleeves. Maybe I smiled at the flowers, and you thought I was sweet. Maybe I unconsciously liked the heat. But whatever reason it is, it was enough for you to come closer and ask my name. I called it an accident, but you smiled and called it fate.

We danced under the scorching sun.

I stood barefoot on the grass for the first time. It was a weird feeling, but you said I'd be fine. I held onto your words as we danced. Until I found myself staring at the sea. You wanted to swim. You told me the water's warm. But as soon as I dipped my foot, I flinched. You understood why. So we stayed on the sand. Maybe I shouldn't have tried. I held back my words because you were excited for the sunset. While I prepared myself for the storm.

I fell for you as the leaves dried.

Browns, reds and yellows swirl onto the streets. My heart fluttered as the leaves fall delicately and slowly to the ground. I picked one pretty leaf so I can give it to you later. But I noticed you were frowning all this time. When I asked you why, you said you hated the fact that they had to die over and over again. So in your eyes, they're just dead. As if on cue, a whisk of cold wind blew the leaves to a swirl. I put my hands on my pockets, along with the pretty leaf.

You held me as the nights got longer.

Snow covered the mountains and the lakes. We tried to hide so the dark wouldn't reach us and suck the colors from us as it did to the world. We tried. But the evenings are too long. The waters already froze. The leaves are gone. The sun floated in the sky like a stupid prop.

You held me tightly. Trying to get my warmth. You begged for the winds to stop. While I just collapsed onto your arms.

You told me to wait for spring. You told me we can start all over again. But when I asked you if you still liked fall, you didn't answer.

So when the sun shone, you saw footprints on the snow.
