Shame on You

Info

I wonder
Do I ever cross your mind?
What a foolish thought
That you'll ever spare your precious time
To think about me.
Maybe I should try to do the same
I won't think about you, too
So for the first time in this lifetime
I'd get even.

Shame on you
For not seeing how beautiful I am
Wait! Don't look on the outside
Instead, try to look on the inside
No! Not my liver, lungs,
Gallbladder, kidney, etc.
When I said inside
I'm talking about my thoughts
I'm confident you won't ever be bored
Just try not to get lost
For my thoughts
Are ocean and desert rolled into one.

Shame on you
Yes, I may never possess
A face that launched a thousand ships
I am not that woman, Helen
I am loyal.
I will never break a sacred promise
I won't be swayed by some hot piece of--
When I say it's you, then it's you.
No sidelines.
No side bitches.
No side dishes.
Just you.
As the main course.
I mean-- as the only one.

Shame on you
For not seeing how rich I am
Don't try to look at my bank account
I am literally broke.
I can't even afford to buy myself a new phone.
Can't even sue my Internet Service Provider
Fast Internet, yeah right.
My two middle fingers salutes you.
When I say rich I'm talking about
How rich my love was in store for you
Loving without asking anything in return.
Just expecting.
I am anything but a hypocrite, that was never my thing
When we love someone
We expect them to love us in return.

Shame on you
For giving up on me
If you only gave me a chance
You'd know how understanding I can be
Accepting you and your silent quirks
And all the craziness you hide
You'd know that compare to me
Yours were just normal.
But we will never know, will we?
You never gave us a chance
My mother didn't carry me in her womb for nine months
They didn't raised me to beg for someone
That's not even worthy of my love.

Shame on you, yes
But now I can say that the shame is on me too
For expecting something from you
That you're not willing to give anyway.
And maybe, for now
These are just all talks
But who knows?
Loving someone can be so tiring sometimes
Especially when that someone doesn't deserve you.
And you don't deserve me, yes
Not in a million years or so.
And maybe, just maybe
Time will come
I can finally look into your eyes and say:
It's your loss, not mine.
