Sherlock Holmes And The strange case of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle an article of Markus Sixtenstam.

While The name Sherlock Holmes is allmost universally recognised that of sir Arthur Conan doyle is certainly less so. I thought I knew all about Sherlock Holmes but nothing about Arthur Conan doyle, his CREATOR. Holmes stepped out of The book covers and really lived  at221b Baker Street with Dr Watson, And mrs Hudson. As a Child i really  enjoyed reading about Holmes and he became a lifelong friend.

Doyle of course was a talented doctor and he developer his authourship together with his medical practice but, as he complained in a letter to his Mother Sherlock Holmes took his mind from better things and he considered killing of his creation and giving his time to the writing of historical Novels. Having done The deed in The Final Problem Doyle threw away his Pen and left  a black stain on his wallpaper!
