Lynn ended up feeling scared, physically ill from the chemotherapy, and not anticipating being in isolation for three months.

I kept thinking there should be something that we (her friends) could do to help Lynn through this three-week interval. That sure seemed like a very long time not to have visitors, although I understood why the lady couldn't. The isolation period is crucial to curing as the immune system is affected and cannot cope with virtually any infection.

I had an idea

I got driving home from a couple of hour trip when I read the song, "Lean in Me. " I was vocal skills along when I suddenly put an idea! I made many phone calls to Lynn's good friends, and they were energized to be a part of this undertaking for her. When I called my very own daughter, Marie, to pack her in, she self-volunteered to be in charge of this idea. Marie has known Lynn her entire life and feels like she is her girlfriend's aunt.

Here's what we have

Several of Lynn's friends, Jessica, and I took pictures of positioning poster board with various emails to her. Lynn and I have already been friends for 30 years, and infrequently times, I would affectionately get in touch with her, "Lovebug. "

On the list of messages, I wrote claimed: "Lovebug, 30 years of sisterhood and many more to come!! I Love You, actually, Lynn! " Here are several more messages that were prepared: "Thank You for Lynn's healed and healthy body," "You can always be toned on me... I LOVE YOU", "You are such a beacon in this world-EVERYONE LOVES YOU!! "

The ladies I identified as to join me in this project have all known Lynn for countless years. I felt like our attachment with Lynn would make this project exceptional.

Some of the pictures we used were older ones by several, OK, many years previously. One of Marie's pictures seemed to be unique. Marie formed is very important of a heart using your girlfriend's hands.

We took our pics and emailed them to Jessica. She then put all of this together on a DVD with the song, Leans on Me. It was a stunning audio-video!

Since Lynn wasn't able to have visitors before the implant, protecting her from virtually any risk of infection, we provided the DVD to her Mommy with a card that said: "Lynn, you are loved so quite definitely, and since we are not able to be with you right now, friends and family created a way for you to see people! We hope this DVD will allow you to get through the next three days. Whenever you feel lonely, enjoy this DVD and sense how very loved you happen to be and know that you are never only. "

Her Mom got called to share that Lynn LOVED the DVD, which also lifted her tone; she added that Lynn watches it often.

The nice thing about it

Lynn's transplant went well with no complications, and she's finished her chemotherapy. This occurred five months before, and I am thrilled to share that Lynn's tumor is gone!

There's so much strength in friendship and adoration. It was fun for all of us to come collectively and create a special surprise for Lynn filled with trust and love.

Learn with Me

"Lean on my family; when you're not strong, I will be your friend; I'll assist you to carry on. It won't be long until I'm visiting and need somebody to stay on. "

"You call on me, brother when you need a hand; we all have to have somebody to lean with. You'd understand I might have a problem with this; we all have to have somebody to trust with. "

When I hear that song, it touches my heart in a particular way, and I get teary-eyed because it's a beautiful melody about friendship. After all, which is what it's all about.... staying there for each other.
