Someday

Info

A letter to the one that got away.

Hi. How are you? Are you fine? Well, I hope you are. I hope you're not lonely.

You know... You were the first thing I'd look for every time I arrive in school.

I look for your smile and everything that comes with it.

To me, you were an inspiration to keep going even with the possibility that both of us might get hurt. That maybe I'd get hurt and yes, that possibility became a fact.

My love, you disappeared before I knew it... before I could even comprehend the emptiness that I felt when you left.

I didn't know why and I wouldn't want to know.

Was it me? Did I do something wrong?

I wanted to ask you these but it's pointless because if you were to ask me...

I wouldn't choose me either.

You deserve better and I'm afraid that it isn't me. Every night, I'd read back all the messages that you sent and I'd replay how you smiled to back when everything was still alright.

It's hurting me but I'll be fine.

Maybe not today, nor later, nor tomorrow, nor the next days.

It will take time but surely, I will be alright.

Someday, my love.
