Visited the other end of earth, Nepal - Everest, a month ago. When they asked me did you enjoy I couldn't just answer with a yes, as its much more than that. You observe a lot, learn to watch all the tiny details. Youre forced to do so when you see a child with torn cloths and dirty unclean face with no shoes on smiling to you from ear to ear holding up a flower he just picked up from the fields for you. You wonder why people that have all they ever wanted cannot give you that pure smile, that pure gesture. Why is it all just about greed, money, why does this paper money have to control us. We can be whoever we want to be, its just a choice we make. You walk by, all the houses are open, some cooking some studying, people come in and out with trust, the feeling of safety cannot be exchanged. People make you favours with no expectation in return at all. You can feel everything is breathing, even the mountains, that day an avalanche happened, the day before at night during the hike, all your instincts become awake, you start to listen to all whats around you, you can feel the mountains tremble and roar, you can feel that something is bothering them. Those feelings and instincts I coud not get when your in the middle of chaotic traffic, people like robots doing their routine work, cars horning all day.
Stop for a while, listen.
