HAVE FUN WITH ENGLISH

  As a student, I never dream to be a writer in English. I admit that English is the one of the subject that I hate, because I never know about any lesson about it. i know a little but I think it doesn't exist anymore. I can say writing in English is such a hard thing, because I am not good in English and I think all of the words or sentences that I write is all wrong. Correcting of grammar-- that is the reason why I am afraid to rite in English, because I am embarrassed if other people correct my grammar and also I am afraid that other people laugh at me because of this mistake.

Since my elementary year, I never excel in my English subject, I don't know why I am not good in English. But my classmates then says that if you're good in Mathematics, you are "kolelat" in English. And I think it's true because I am always participating and recite in my Mathematics subject. Then when I am in my Junior High School year, it's just the same, but when the days passes by, I already learned some about English and that is it the help of my Junior High School teachers. The subject that I am afraid of before my teachers then taught me how to faced and conquer it.

Then, when I step on my Senior High School year, everything changed of course because of the new subjects and especially new English subject that were not called "English Subject" rather they were called it as "English for Academic Subject" and "Reading and Writing Skills in my Grade 11 year. These two subject taught me that English subject is not a hard subject but you have to understand it to learn from it. I realize then that English is so fun "Have fun with English" as our speech choir then says. After I tried to write in English as my first step to achieve it. Then in my Grade 12 year in my "Creative Writing", in this subject I learned a lot, about how to write a horror vignette , a poem and short story that is not short.

I admit that this subject challenged me because of my supportive and very good teacher Sir Kit Nadado, he encourage me to do well and not to be afraid in English. He never push as down but he motivate us that we have to let our heart write and enjoy about what we write. All of these obstacles and struggles that I faced about my English subject taught me that I have to face all of them to learn more. Thank you to all of my teachers from elementary until now that taught about the English subject and taught me that English is fun.
