TikTok has a lot of video content, and sometimes you may want to download TikTok videos to your devices. By downloading videos from TikTok, you can watch your favourite content even when you're not connected to the internet. You can also share these files with others using your preferred sharing methods.
There are several ways to download TikTok videos to multiple devices.
Download TikTok videos on Android
If you are using an Android device, you have two ways to download TikTok videos to your phone or tablet.
Using the TikTok app itself
One way to download TikTok videos on Android is to use the official TikTok app. This method works for all videos that have been authorised by their creator.
Launch the TikTok app on your phone.
Find the video you want to download.
You will see a few options in the right sidebar. Tap the option with an arrow icon (it's for sharing the video).
On the next screen, you'll be presented with several ways to share the selected video. Since you want to download this TikTok video, tap the Save video option.
Wait for the video to download to your device. You will see the progress of the broadcast live on your screen.
You will see a menu that allows you to share the video. Tap Cancel when the video is now downloaded to your device.
Open the Gallery app and find the TikTok video you selected downloaded from there.
Using WhatsApp
Some TikTok videos do not offer a download function. However, there is a workaround to download these TikTok videos using WhatsApp.
Turn on WhatsApp on your phone.
Tap the three dots in the top right corner and select New Group.
Select a contact to add to the group. You'll delete them later and they won't see the videos you uploaded.
Give your group a name and tap the check mark.
Open the group you just created and tap its name at the top.
Find the contact you added, tap them and select Delete. This will remove them from the group.
Launch TikTok on your device.
Play the video you want to upload. Then tap the share icon in the right sidebar.
In the Share To menu, tap WhatsApp.
Select your newly created group with whom you want to share the TikTok video.
Open File Manager and go to Internal storage > WhatsApp > Media > WhatsApp video > Sent. You will find your TikTok video there.
Download TikTok videos on iPhone
iPhone users have three different ways to download TikTok videos. This includes downloading undownloaded videos.
Using the official TikTok app
If downloading is enabled for the video you want to download, you can use the TikTok app to save it to your phone.
Open the TikTok app on your iPhone.
Play the video you want to download.
Tap the Share icon in the right-hand menu.
Select the Save video option.
Ignore the Share to Menu menu that appears on the screen and tap Done to clear it.
The uploaded TikTok video will be available in the Photos app on your iPhone.
A quick way to upload a video is to tap and hold the video and select Save video. This does not require opening the sharing menu.
Using Instagram
If you come across a video that has uploading disabled, you can still upload it to your phone using the Instagram app.
Make sure Instagram is installed on your iPhone and that you are signed in to your account.
Open the TikTok app on your iPhone.
Find the video you want to download.
Tap the share icon in the right sidebar.
From the Share to menu, select Instagram to share the video on Instagram. It won't actually be published on your profile.
The Instagram posting mode will open. In the top left corner, tap Cancel because you don't want to post anything.
Open the Photos app on your iPhone and you'll find the TikTok video you've chosen uploaded there.
Using "Total files"
If you don't use Instagram and want to upload the TikTok video you blocked from uploading to your iPhone, you can do so using the "Total files" file manager app.
Open the App Store on your iPhone, search for Total files and install it.
Launch the TikTok app on your iPhone.
Select the video you want to download.
Tap the share icon in the right sidebar.
On the next screen, select Copy link to copy the link to the video you selected.
Open the Total files app on your iPhone.
Tap the web icon in the bottom right corner.
Tap and hold the address bar at the top and select Paste. Then tap Go at the bottom.
Play the video on the next screen.
Tap the video when it starts playing and you'll get a prompt. Tap the green check mark icon.
Total files will ask you where you want to save the video. Select the destination and tap Done.
The video is downloaded and can be viewed in Total files.
Downloading TikTok videos to your computer
TikTok video download to your computer does not require any application to be installed. All you need is access to the video link, and you can download and save the video on your Windows or Mac computer.
