Sunflower of Parting

At the garden that grew tired of waiting for summer

Once again I sow the seeds filled with vibrant memories

As we stood side by side, I wish for the years to remain

Yet a single letter painted in red destroyed everything

An almost never ending rain started to pour

Like how these streams of tears do

“Please don’t go” the words keep coming out

Bidding goodbye, you smile a blinding smile like that of the sun

Torn between the promise of future and the curse of today

What I only wish is for you to stay with me

I won’t give you a parting gift of regret

So please don’t go away!

Stepping forward inside the pending train

With trembling hands, I pulled you back

“Don’t stop me. Send me off with flowers of smile”

Yet all I want is for us to remain in wait for the sunflowers

At the garden that still waiting for summer

Once again, I stood waiting for the sprouting sunflowers to bloom

Till you come back home

Till the sunflowers started to bloom

I’ll remain in wait for our reunion
