I would want to take this opportunity to thank you.

Thank you for giving me the butterflies.

Thank you for at least giving me affection.

Thank you for holding my hand.

Thank you for kissing my cheek.

Thank you for kissing my lips.

Thank you for holding me.

Thank you for saying ‘I love you too.’

Thank you for all the times that you made me feel happy. For at least, looking at me. I knew it was just for a very short time but really, I’m glad.

You knew I was very young and you put me through situations that I can barely handle. But hey, I survived. Thank you for that.

You showed me the world that I wasn’t suppose to know yet. You took that part of me that I was suppose to protect until the right time comes. But I’d still thank you. For now that I’ve become wiser. I’ve become a better version of myself that’ll never be swoon by the flowery words.

For a moment, I did despised you. I cursed at you. I shouted your name with filth and anger. I even hoped for your death. But I woke up. I realized that everything’s done and what happened to us was just a part of life that I should learn.

And I’d still want to thank you.

Thank you for not listening.

Thank you for insulting me.

Thank you for shaming me.

Thank you for making a fool out of me.

Thank you for breaking me.

Thank you for leaving me.

Thank you for not even looking back.

Thank you for all of that. Because if it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be as strong as I am today. Surely, I won’t forget what you did but, I already forgive you for every pain that you’ve caused me.

Thank you for making me realize what I deserve.

Thank you for making me love myself.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to meet the right person that would never do the same things you did.
