THE AUTUMNAL FRENZY

Info

19th October,2017 all Indians, especially the Bengali community cut the ribbon marking the commencement of an extravaganza revolving around this beautiful lady with ten hands and four charismatic children.

Yes It's a frenzy. Bengalis here in Calcutta become unstoppable. Joint aches which made Dida cry everyday becomes negligible. Mummy who shouts everyday "You dare not eat junk food" becomes the one nudging you to have biryani to your heart's content. Dad who, almost never returns home before 9 forgets the existence of the infrastructure named "Office".
Bhaiya who never woke up before 10 in the morning is decked up for pandal hopping before sunrise. Our puja plans are made with such dedication which;if used in studies would probably make us all toppers.
Durga Puja , this is what I have been talking about so long. This is our "AUTUMNAL FRENZY". The Maple syrup festival lasts for 3 days. Day of the dead lasts for 2days. But Durga Puja lasts for a year until "Ma" visits us again.
Our autumnal bliss is an escapade rather a world of its own. Moreover in the Mediterranean countries;the celebration revolves around dry ,shedding autumnal leaves 🍁 but our festival gives birth to new and fresh farm products and above all excitement. Their Fall collection being displayed on F.Tv dare not compete with our Sarees cause it will "FALL"

Well, Equivocal approach is applicable here as well.
For some this festive season is a small break from the monotonous life. For some it's the period to complete pending chores and for some it is the time to finally return home to their loved ones.
Our city, the spirit to explore and our appetite all take an gear up. Some find Soulmates on Ashtami others make memories of a lifetime. The festival adds substance to our lives.
Who cares if Bengalis do not observe Navaratri? They still play Dandiya. And what if Muslims do not attend the vermillion playing ceremony on dashami, they still wish us "Shubho Bijaya".

This article isn't lengthy because I feel this secular and vibrant celebration needs no exaggeration or extreme description. It is a part of us. It is in us. So let's just count days to when the ten handed deity will come again and unleash a week of spectra of happiness and joy in us.
