It appears to be very similar to the 'best in 2014' lists, which was announced by Apple earlier this month. In terms of game, Candy Crush continues to be among the most requested games. This was by far the highest played game in the entire year. It is a tech company that has placed apps in a variety of categories. These categories include education, mobile Technology Best Apps  photography social, fitness and health, among others. According to the list published by Google the category 'Health and Fitness' continues to grow rapid in the category of apps because of this developers are moving faster in making their applications compatible with the Google's Android Wear line of smart watches.

The most popular Google apps according to category include Duolingo in the category of education, MyFitnessPal in the health and fitness category, Pandora in the music category, Flipagram in the photography category, Facebook in the social category, Netflix in the entertainment category, NFL Mobile in the sports category, and TripAdvisor in the travel category, Health and Fitness falls into the year's fastest-growing app category.

The most popular downloaded Google games include "Candy Crush Saga and Don't Tap the White Tile' and 'Farm Heroes and Subway Surfers and 'Clash Of Clans'. In the category Achievements, Google play games users have unlocked 3.5 billion achievements during this year.

Google offers good news to all Android users. The Android users are now able to find the top-rated applications of the 2014 on the Google Play Store. Google Play Store Google Play has a section named 'The Top Apps of 2014'. The section features 64 apps which include popular apps such as Shazam, Uber, TuneIn Radio, Skype Qik, Group Video Chat and Secret. There are only a handful of apps in these 64 apps are downloaded at no cost. A few of these paid applications are Ultimate Guitar Tabs & Chords, Facetune, Afterlight, Amazing World Atlas, 7 Minute Workout Challenge, djay2 and Over.
