The coffee shop

The place had a quaint feel about it, an ocean of peace located right in the middle of a busy city. It was their meeting place. ..books, coffee, fluttering feelings and a coccon from the daily hustle bustle that life was.

She came in to nurse a broken heart with a kindred spirit. He came in to get a temporary kick. Her eyes were riveted on him, his were always floating across the floor, looking through women of all shapes and sizes who walked into the place.

She was carrying a mountain in her heart but chose to remain silent. His ego had been badly bruised by another woman. It was a chalk and cheese story, he was trying to get control over life, she was giving in to God and viewing every positive happening in her life as a blessing. Through missed dates, bday wishes, misunderstandings and get backs, their bipolarity had strongly bound them together. They had loved each other in their own way, she in her innocence and exuberance, he in his understated acceptance. For her he was the Moonbeam, for him she was the cool morning breeze he breathed in, often oblivious of the fact that he was drawing her in such profusion.

But every good thing must come to an end. She was God's own child, one fine day, He drew her into a new realization.

The coffee shop still stands, occassionally he drops in, browses through books, waiting for her to turn up some day. That day maybe the chalk would merge with the cheese, maybe some beautiful thoughts would finally have consummation...
