The crack.

This wall that stood infront of me, this flawless looking proud wall, as if glad that it now has an admirer's attention, its beautiful paint now  shiny with the raindrops..i follow the marks of water that made path on it slowly and closely, my eyes reach a crack in the wall..i wonder if the proud wall was now feeling ashamed of this crack n wishing i would stop looking at it, if it could somehow hide it..
or is it proud of the ugly crack, that now tells me how it has braved the sun and the rain for so many years n stood there!

Does the crack feel guilty that it somehow reduces the beauty of the wall, or is it happy that for once it opens the inside of the wall for the world to see..that there is more to the wall that meets the eye..the bricks under the paint that give it the strength.

Does it wish that someday fresh plaster will heal it? And it can be flawless again?

Again in a few days, i sit there to enjoy a beautiful evening.. the crack is still there, but now i can see 2 bright little leaves peeping from the crack!

Did the crack ever dream of a fresh green life within itself? If yes, did the other walls made fun and laughed at him, told him flowers dont grow in the cement? Did he believe them and stopped dreaming, or silently hoped for better? Did he know some seed far away is dreaming of being blown n planted?

What did the seed that was blown with the wind dream of? Of being planted with the fellow seeds and growing in the same field with his brothers, where it goes unnoticed and unappreciated. or ever in a wild dream, of a far away distant land, where it adds meaning to its life and others!

Did the wall ever think of how if it allows its cracks to show, the sun , the rain, the wind, the universe will conspire to turn it into something so beautiful !

Some of us are like the wall, strong and beautiful, but with an ugly crack! some of us try to hide it, others open their scars proudly.

Some like the crack, dreaming of things unreal n unheard for their kind, but never stop believing in it!

Some like the seed, dreaming what they can imagine is the best, not knowing they can be so much more!

And the universe, well its always conspiring! :)
