He remembered.
It was a long time ago, but he did.
"Spiritmate." He mumbled to himself. Laughing at the name they had given each other.
Meanwhile, customers came rushing in before noon, constantly making the chimes sing. It was a successful restaurant indeed. A very unique one, to be honest.
He decided to take a stroll along his world class creation. Not to take pride, but to reminisce —as the portraits, furnitures, walls, and flowers, reminded him where he started. Reminding him of home.
But the chimes were getting quieter now. As if everything was slowly fading from reality.
Odd. He thought.
Customers loudly passed by, admiring the interiors, the food, the vibe of the place and all. Amidst the loud chatter, he didn't seen to mind.
The 3 kareokes at his old home always played simultaneously while he was reviewing for his final exams, and he knew he endured far worse than these noises could ever get.
"I love the sunset on this one."
"Yeah."
"It's amazing here ahhaha."
He heard people comment on something. He turned around and saw the painting on the wall the customers had talked about.
He took a deep breath as he continued to stare at the masterpiece his cousin bought a few years ago. It was a beautiful sunset view. His happy place.
Little did he know, the bustling noise started to slowly detached him from reality. Echoing from a distance.
He was too lost in an endless replay of her, looking out to a vast open sea.
"Angelo. Angelo. Jervet. Angelo" she repeated.
"Why do you keep repeating my name? And... The name you gave me? Haha." he asked, letting out a chuckle.
"So that I'd never forget. And if I do, the other one will help me remember." smiling, they glanced at each other before staring into the sea.
"Your Home is amazing... Just. Wow. The sea is my ultimate happy place ya' know."
"Well... I took you guys here so that you'd know what 'my home' felt like. So that you'll feel it too, bringing it with you..."
She stopped at her tracks for a while.
"..that way, you'll always be my home wherever you go."
They paused for a moment before laughing the butterflies out of their stomachs.
"HAHAHA. But hey, we're gonna miss the best part. The sun is setting." she exclaimed.
"The day is about to end." he whispered softly.
"Just like our story, bespren. Just kidding! But... when will you come back, then?"
"I'm not exactly sure when. But I'll come back again. Anyways. The sun's gonna rise sometime soon... For the both of us..."
They both stopped.
She knew it meant something... Real.
She was hesitant to look, but she did.
"...and on that day for sure, the sun will never set again." he continued.
"Spiritmate?" she called out. Looking at him.
"Yeah?"
"Thank you for everything" she smiled warmly.
"I know, Abigail. I love you too. I do."
A sudden chime was all it took to let him snap back to reality.

The one who holds my heart,
The one that stays even when it’s hard.
The one that makes stars kneel and makes my heart feel life’s thrill over and over again.
Two weirdos crossing ways, now will be their own forever and always?
P.S. This was written when we were still "special friends" HAHAHAHA
