There have been many people in the past whose stories have been nothing short of inspiring. Many of these individuals rose from ordinary beginnings and went on to do great things. The only thing that kept them going was their desire to succeed and an unimaginable level of persistence. They were willing to go the distance and were not going to let the circumstances affect them. One of these is James Michael Lafferty.
James Michael Lafferty was born with humble roots in the United States. From a very early age, he was into fitness and worked out. He started off at the Procter and Gamble Company as a fitness trainer back in 1984. He soon realized that he wasn't just born for fitness training, but was also good at marketing and management. It wasn't long before he was plying his trade at the company and his stock began to grow. Dedicated to perfection, Lafferty would spend long hours coming up with unique marketing campaigns that greatly helped the company.
He eventually managed to break into the upper echelon of the company, becoming an executive. Eventually, he became the CEO of Procter and Gamble operations first in the Middle East; followed by CEO roles in Poland/Baltics, Western Europe, and Philippines. He subsequently became the CEO of Coca-Cola Nigeria and British American Tobacco Philippines. Lafferty didn't stop there, however. He was a coach for multiple Olympic athletes; and has also worked as a keynote speaker and a trainer. He has long been an advocate of Women's Rights and has also been a prolific columnist.
Lafferty is dedicated to fitness and tries to keep his body in prime condition. He has participated in over 30 marathons, is a 3-time Philippines National Champion in weightlifting; and is also a consultant and an honorary coach at the Philippine Amateur Track and Field Association. Lafferty also serves on the board of the Medical Wellness Association. Lafferty has long been a proponent of Filipino women's empowerment programs and has been advocating for their rights all over the globe.
At the moment, Lafferty is the CEO of Fine Hygiene Holding. Lafferty got his degree from the University of Cincinnati, with honors in Psychology. Having served at executive positions in many of the world’s leading companies, Lafferty has become a leading icon throughout the corporate world. He often takes part in speaking sessions and helps people understand the power of the mind and body.
He has served as a coach to 3-time Olympic medal winner Marestella Torres. He helped her return from her childbirth and she eventually ended up setting a record. He was also the coach of the Nigerian marathon team at the 2012 London Olympics. Despite the fact that he was so into fitness, Lafferty hasn’t let them prevent him from completing his duties. He’s often regarded as a hard worker. Lafferty has five children, one of which is adopted. Kenji was abandoned as a Filipino child, and after spending a bit of time with the Lafferty family, Kenji was adopted. The inspiring story of James Michael Lafferty just goes on to show that anybody can achieve success if they put their heart and soul into it.
