With all the current hype lately for Michael Moore's and other political agenda movies, that documentary seemed less predictable and never came near to placing me to sleep.movies about spiritual enlightenment I didn't get in to every philosophy of the movie, but when you didn't keep this show with at the least some emotion of enlightenment, patriotism and a want to be much more vigilant together with your government, you most likely hated Jimmy Stewart in "Mr. Jones Would go to Washington" too.
The picture was shown by my local political hero Bob Schulz of Fort Ann, New York (about 25 miles north of Saratoga Springs). Schulz is just a Jeffersonian and champion of the U.S. Constitution. He is also a creator of the We The People Basis for Constitutional Education, a national nonprofit organization trying to concern unconstitutional and unlawful
conduct by government. He comes across as an educated, enthusiastic and articulate person who has done Wall Road, high-level government careers and served honorably in the Air Force. He never believed that his government was such a thing but benevolent; a word he loves to make use of often. His naiveté was to be challenged. Harmed by his local Town Panel back in the mid 80's, Schulz changed into a government watchdog. He came to appreciate he could look for a "redress of grievances" per the
First Amendment of the Structure as a master se litigant (representing herself in court without the aid of a lawyer) and began processing their own petitions in most quantities of the judicial system. He never looked back. "Ours is just a fragile program, and we're in a battle for flexibility that's never several technology from disintegration," Schulz claimed ahead of the movie. He will, in their own phrases, continue [monitoring government] until he dies.
Although I don't agree with everything he does, I can't help but respect Schulz for his persistence and sacrifices. He's not unlike our Founding Men; placing his wealth and popularity on the line. While many others (myself included) complain and do nothing as our government spins unmanageable, Schulz speaks the talk and hikes the walk. Persons like him, for reasons uknown or enthusiasm, look to make the earth a much better area for the others of us.
