It was our 2nd month of love.
You gave me a ring with a tiny flower in it.
You inserted it in my finger, while looking straight into my eyes.
You told me "This ring fits perfectly on you.
"I promise you, I will stay for a lifetime"
" I promise not to turn your fear in love into reality"
" I pomise you, I will never be tired of loving you"
" One day, I will replace this ring after asking you to marry me"
Those were the promises I used to believe in
Promises that I hold onto, while crossing the bridge to reach you.
But those promises enclosed with my ring;
It was two years ago today.
From promise ring it turned as a gift.
Promises turned out to be lies.
Love turns out to be dead.
Expectations lead to disappontment.
Thank you for letting me know that promises are not meant to be broken but it is meant to be fulfilled, Starting today I will forget everything you said. Goodbye to the lies and broken poems.
