The Real Damsel

"You have to show her the kind of love that she deserves."

For many years, she waited for his knight to save her from the pain, and the fear of a second time heartache. She is there at the top of the tower but she is not letting her hair down. It's you who will put an effort, if you don't then you have no passion. Gather up your strength and love, climb the tower with all your might. Save her from distress! You are there now, kiss the scars away as if it can just disappear by your light touches. She cries while watching you, for every warm breath lingering on her skin as if this is the first time she encountered a human being. And grateful to how you ought to find her amongst the pile of rocks thrown at her.

She stooped herself so low.

Take her away from the Sadness imprisoning her, as well as poisoning every bit of her confidence and faith. Take her with you, to your home that she can also call her own. Embrace her everyday and tell her how beautiful she is. That you want to live with only her in this world, you only want to look at her, that you cannot go on with your life without her. Tell her of your anticipation to wake up in the morning and she's the first person you want to see, that her smiles and her laughters drive you crazy. Even in dreams, you look forward to meeting her and the both of you can't stop clinging to each other as if life depends on it.

Run away if it requires, do not be a hero who wants to die. Because if you do, you are only giving her more years to live in sorrow. Live for her, if not for yourself! She will be your reason why you were born on this earth. Make her happy, so much happy! Cook for her, throw the corniest jokes, travel with her around the world- for all eternity.

Put a ring on her finger and say "I do."

All these things, these much, you know she deserves.

Because she did her best to wait for you patiently, to become beautiful despite the cruel world pointing fingers at her.
