The wrong decision

I know ,I understand, I completely do but it's impossible to stop loving Daniel. He's my first love. Today I'll surely confess to him.
I walk through the gate of our school and to my classroom where I see Daniel sitting with his iPhone and listening to some music. I walk and stand in front of him and stand in front of him. He opens his earbuds and asks "Did something happen? " My whole body freezes. What am I going TO tell him ? I'm sorry please dump Lucy and date me ? I adjust my spectacles and say "I was wondering how is it going on with Lucy ?" He answers "Everything's great !" I know I'm an idiot.

The next day
I am determined to tell him. I approach him while he was leaning to a wall and working on his mobile phone. "Amm...Daniel ?" I started but he cuts me in between and says "I know that you like me Sarah but I'm sorry I love Lucy.I really do love her.I'm sorry." I turn my back towards him and a tear rolled down my cheek. 'I really love Lucy' was the last thing i wanted yo hear from him. I never talked to him again.

Twenty years later
The school bell rang and all the children ran out to hug their parents.Selena and Daxon ran  hand in hand out of the school. When Selena saw her mother, Sarah standing near the gate she ran to her and hugged her. "So how was your first day at school?" Sarah asked. "It was great! I even made a friend, Daxon , there he is." Selena said pointing towards a young boy standing with his father. Sarah's purse dropped from her hand when she saw the man.The man approached her and said "Hey Sarah" Sarah replied "Hello Daniel...so you got glasses too ?" Daniel put his hand in his pocket and let out a sigh then he said "Yes and...I regret my decision." Sarah smiled and said "please don't."
