Therapist

Nights are most terrifying for me. My therapist forces me to drink milk and sleep, but everytime I close my eyes, I see a woman being stabbed on her throat to death. This keeps on disturbing me night after night.

I like my therapist. She really cares about me. She cooks my meals. She knows where to find my lost stuff. She sometimes even sing songs for me. She wanted to distract me from my anxieties.

"We're going to the local theme park today", she smiles.

I bought myself a ticket and let the staff check it. My therapist must have special privileges because she freely walked right in front of the staff like the wind.

Now the skies are pitch black and the moon is at its brightest. "Fun day, huh?" I was waiting for her response while I was washing my dirty hands in the park's restroom. It took me several minutes to realize she wasn't in the cubicle anymore. Something must've come up; an emergency of some sort maybe. Then I feel like I have forgotten something. Nonetheless, I saw her necklace on the floor, so I picked it up and went home.

The next thing I know, I was in my place and my therapist was cooking me breakfast in the kitchen, as usual. I walked towards her from behind. And as I was putting the necklace around her neck, she turned around and calmly says,

"We're going to the local theme park today."

She smiled and as I shockingly noticed some scars on her neck. She stared at my pocket too long to make me curious as hell. I hear her sweet voice,

"It's okay. Happy 13th birthday."

I checked my pocket. I found my favorite swiss knife, and a heart pendant with our picture together on the right side and text on the left saying "Best mom in the world".
