There's no Cinderella Story

Every girl’s wish is to meet the man of their dream –that man who’s almost perfect and would simply accept the imperfections of a girl, no matter how horrible it may be. Most girls, whether teenager or even hopeless romantics, grew up believing that such kind of man do really exist. Maybe it’s their sanguine perspective that makes them insane enough to enclose themselves in that surreal, imaginary castle of fantasy and just wait for their princes to come– I pity those who did– but we all know that true love isn’t like that, and a prince charming is just an elusive, once in a blue moon happenstance.

Searching for true love, though it hurts to think, is fatal. It’s like jumping out of the plane without a parachute or like drinking a poison made by your own hands. You’ll get constant pain, and once that pain surmounts, there will be no remedy for it, no cure, no solution and it will take you forever to move on from that abysmal pain.

Well, I really hate those Cinderella type of stories– that tale that shows how a prince fell in love with a filthy, nobody girl. It did nothing, but only gives a girl a mackled hope that someday, it might also happen to her. Come on, there’s no such thing in this unfairly, judgmental world. Every guy (I’m not saying all) has their own hidden standards– whether physically, materially or in other aspects of life– and each time you failed to pass their standard, it causes them a pinch in their alter ego.

Good is not enough. You might experience rejections right now but don’t be sad and don’t blame yourself. Make them realize what they’ve lost instead. Be brave and stand out. Go and take another heel higher than what you’re wearing right now. Make your own epic story– not like that of the stereotype Cinderella story.

Don’t chase for your ‘Prince’, Make him chase after you.
