They sit opposite from each other (Best Friends)

They sit opposite from each other. Nature surrounds them, the trees listening to their conversation, the grass watching them, the flowers smile even under their shadows. One is sitting up straight, he's smiling. The other is crouching on the bench seat, he’s smiling. One of them made a joke and they both laughed. One covered his growing smile and watch his friend laughed. His friend kept his eyes on him as he laughed. Then the joke was gone, but their smiles remained. A conversation started and the smile disappeared as they both talked. Neither looked into the other’s eyes though. They are both watching something feet away. Something in the tree then their eyes chased it onto the ground. One of them, unnoticing, reached over his foot and kicked his friend. He shouted in surprise then reached over his hand and smacked his friend. Then they laughed a little before returning to stare at the robin on the grass pecking at something. One of them turned to his friend and said something. His friend turned his body toward him and conversed. They are now facing each other, having an insightful conversation. One still sits straight up, the other crouching.

There’s a family not far from them, sitting on another bench chatting away. When the family laughed, they both turned to them then turned back to each other and continued their conversation. Suddenly, one took out his phone and typed something in while the other talked away. Then he stood up with a big smile and went to his friend’s side, standing and crouching. He showed him his phone and they both went into a deep conversation. The one with the phone stood up straight and said something. The one still sitting down argued something back with a serious look. He put his phone away and looked far from his friend. His smile is gone. The one sitting down brushed his own hair with his hand then he said something that brought the one standing’s eyes back to his. His friend sighed then leaned on the bench table. The one sitting down said nothing, they both turned to the place where the robin was and say nothing. The one sitting down looked up at his friend then took out his phone and typed something in. He nudged his friend and showed it to him. His friend smiled. He said something and they both smiled at each other. The family bench laughed out loud and they both turned to look at the family. The family smiled at them, they smiled then went back to their own little world.

After a few minutes, the one sitting down stood as well. He went to his friend’s side and stood next to him, saying something that requires the small distance between them. His friend looked away as he conversed. Then he took out his phone and glanced at it before saying something else. His friends nodded and started walking away. He followed. They both walked in the same direction for a little while, laughing and conversing. Then they stopped at the end of the sidewalk, waved at each other, and walked to opposite direction. Though they were far, their smiled reminded.
