Honda HR-V is often seen on the road. Consider that it has been seven years since Honda HR-V was introduced. In Malaysia, B-segment SUVs came to market about five years ago, but five years later they are still very popular. In Honda's normal car design cycle, the new HR-V will have generational changes rather than simple tweaks. Recently, the renderings of KDesign AG came out, so we can imagine what a Honda HR-V should look like one by one.
This 3-generation HR-V looks more sharper, compared to the complex look of the second-generation. It's not hard to see this inspiration coming from other Hondas, and we can even see some shadows of the hood of the 2020 Honda Accord.
The roof is still tilted, but for now the vertical hidden door handles have been replaced with the usual mainstream horizontal handles.
Some car enthusiasts have speculated that Honda will extend the new HR-V to 4.4 meters, compared with the current 4.346 meters. There is also speculation that Honda intends to use the new generation HR-V as a C-class SUV instead of its traditional B-class sedan.
Honda may be planning to add a hybrid version to the next generation HR-V. But others say the HR-V conventional combustion engine option will also include a 1.5L VTEC turbo engine.
We'll soon see a whole new generation of Honda HR-V, possibly unveiled to the masses around December 2020. Sales are expected to begin in the first half of 2021.Hopefully, we haven't found any Reuters photos of the new HR-V on the road. But on the road, users have spotted a Honda Civic heavily disguised.
