The researches which are carried out are in the field of physics, biology, computer science, chemistry, mathematics. TIFR Physics is a institute which offers fundamental research in Condensed Matter and Statistical Physics, Cosmology, High Energy Physics, and String Theory. Department of the High Energy Physics of TIFR members are most of the time engaged in the pursuit of various experiments and scientific speculations. It is regarding the ultimate fate, evolution and origin of the universe. The techniques which are used are both accelerated and non-accelerated.
Seminars Held & Timings -
There are various kinds of seminars and courses which are held in TIFR Physics. Some of them are as follows – Deptt. of theoretical physics- seminar is held on the string theory on Mondays and Tuesdays at 11:30AM. Theoretical Physics Colloquium is held on every Tuesday at 4 P.M. Cosmology and Astro-particle Physics Journal club is held on Tuesdays at 1:00PM. Free Meson Seminars (HEP) are for high energy physics and is held on Thursdays at 2:30PM. Random Interactions seminar is held on condensed matter physics and statistical mechanics on Wednesday at 11:30AM. QCD journal club seminars are held on every Thursday at 11:30AM. CMSP Journal Club seminar is held on Thursdays at 2:30PM. State of the Universe Seminars is held on Friday at 11:30AM. Students' Seminars is held on every Thursday at 8:30 PM. There are various research activities also which are held in the TIFR Physics. All the experiments and seminar’s are relating to physics.
