Tips on How to Perfectly Crack the Quantitative Section of Your Gre Exam

GRE (The Graduate Record Examination) is a standardized exam that is required for admissions in many graduate schools mostly in the USA and Canada. It is a test to assess your basic mathematical ability and of your comprehensiveness of elementary mathematical concepts. Your ability to reason and logical understanding is also tested through this. This is designed to analyze your quantitative and analytical aptitude and skills.

GRE test consists of 2 sections: - Verbal and quantitative reasoning each section has 20 questions. This test is based on algebra, analysis of data, arithmetic and geometry.

Quantitative is a very important section of this test and there are very few easy steps to score very well in it which are as follows:-

• Start preparing for exam and study 1.5 hours to 2 hours on daily basis, 45 minutes for Verbal and 45 minutes for Quantitative daily (if you study for 1.5 hours).

• Assess your weak and strong areas and start planning a perfect strategy for a better score and the prevention of chaos and pressure in future. (You should only take 1 day for creating your strategy).

• Create a suitable study plan for yourself then will help you in covering your weak stops and master them first then stronger one and in the end, you have enough time for revising everything again 3-4 times (a regular daily basis plan with regular test and feedback will surely pay off).

• Always discuss your doubts with a mentor or a guide regularly so that you can find out your common errors and areas you still have to work on.

• Take at least 5-6 full-length tests before going for the actual test so that you can make sure that you have enough speed to finish the test before time. Make sure you are well adapted to that time slot.

• If you want to score a perfect 170 or 160+ then you should try to solve 160+ level questions. There is no need to try and keep practicing easy question, but they should be tried at least once and should be done in the early revision. Make sure you give the 160+ level questions more importance.

• Learn at least multiplication tables up to 20×20. This is very important as it will help you in fast calculations which will develop your speed in the exam. This will also decrease your dependency on the calculator for calculations.

• GRE is a test that depends on the time you have devoted to it like any student can solve a single question in 10 minutes but only a few students, those who have devoted a lot of time can solve a question in less than 100 seconds (just 1 minute and 40 seconds). This type of skill can only be earned by constant preparation and by putting regular effort over time and with this, you can surely score 160+and with even some more effort you have a chance for the perfect 170 scores.

Lastly have confidence in your abilities and be positive. If you work hard you’ll surely be successful in gre quant practice
